My Secret Pains

Does the pain you feel almost push you to the edge. Does it make you wish you could get it out of your head. It sometimes makes me wish I were dead. Problems I can’t touch, because my hands feel tied. Loved ones I can’t help no matter how hard I try. Do my feelings mean anything since I’m locked away. Are my screams heard though they don’t make a sound. With no one to talk to, cause there’s no one to trust. I keep my feelings on the inside till they’re ready to burst. My hurt runs deep into the depths of my soul, which sometimes makes me seem heartless and cold. Only 50 with one sentence that seems like an eternity. Never looking back because my goals are in front of me. I strive to be free and to one day understand how they could put so much on the shoulders of one man. Did God put me on this earth to see how much I could take. Does He know that my heart is strong and that my mind will be the first to break. I’m not the only one who suffers, my family suffers too. But they stand beside me in all this to see my goals come true. The pain I feel is always felt, but seldom seen or told, and til the day I explode, these secret pains I hold.
