Please help me hold prosecutors accountable for violating defendant’s due process rights. My goal is to hold those in positions of power accountable to every citizen when it comes to violating due process rights. Currently no law exists in Virginia to punish prosecutors civilly or criminally (because they receive immunity) when they violate rights including, but not limited to; withholding exculpatory evidence, altering, fabricating, not testing and destroying evidence along with the use of unreliable “jailhouse” snitches who are used to taint a jury from hearing the truth and seeing the real evidence. Most snitches are coerced and suborned by a prosecutor to strengthen their case. After they “testify” they receive a get out of jail free card not serving any time for the charges that brought them to jail. Offering them nothing in return for their testimony would guarantee they are on the stand for the right reasons. The state bar doesn’t take complaints seriously and dismisses them without a full investigation. I am asking the governor to set up a committee to oversee allegations of misconduct against prosecutors to ensure that they are following the law of Due Process that they swore to uphold when they were voted into office. Once an allegation is investigated and proved to have merit, the prosecutor would be held criminally liable for a charge of “obstruction of justice” and any other charges the committee deems appropriate. The prosecutor would also be civilly/financially liable for persons who have been incarcerated from the violations. Go to my facebook page now or, please sign both petitions and show your support.
