Misplaced? Stolen?
So I got a letter from my PP today and he told me that he hasn't received anything I've sent him other than the Jpay's. I have sent a bunch of stuff! He said that his mail had been delivered to the wrong guy a couple times, but that he ended up getting his newspapers and a letter from him dad back. He wonders if maybe the guy held on to my letters. Have any of you ever had this problem? I haven't gotten any letters from strangers or anything. The adress I sent my letters to is correct. I'm so confused and sincerely hope some other dude isn't reading my personal letters!
I feel so bad for my PP, he thought that maybe I was put off by him lol. I hate to think of him sitting around wondering why I'm not writing back. Even though I am!

Re: Misplaced? Stolen?
I had this happen recently. A letter I wrote to R kept getting marked with the wrong cell number and sent to this other guy's cell. Luckily he wasn't a jerk and kept giving the letter back to the CO.... Eventually he just gave it to R himself when he went to rec.

Agh! How annoying! I guess there is nothing I can do, but my PP doesn't sound impressed. He says he doesn't trust anyone in there so I'm pretty sure his gut is telling him that some dude is holding onto my letters. Hopefully that's not the case! Either way, I'm not sure what he can do since he's in segregation.

Lucky for the dude that's keeping them that your pp is in seg otherwise that might not go down so well.

Hah! That's what I was thinking! He's definitely lucky...and if it didn't get my PP in trouble, I'd just love for him to set the guy straight!
But who knows maybe the mail is just late? I sure hope there isn't some weirdo holding on to my letters, that's just creepy.

Re: Misplaced? Stolen?
Mail getting delivered to the wrong person happens all the time! My pp had a mail that I sent delivered to someone else, lol, luckily that "someone else" was one of his homeboys in there. He said that that friend was all happy to receive mail but when he saw that it was for my pp instead, he got all 'jealous' and 'threw the mail' at him, lol!
There's oceans in between us, but that's not very far...

Re: Misplaced? Stolen?
Is this McConnell unit by any chance?
We have had all sorts of issues with the mail room there.

Yess, this IS McConnell unit. I guess that means I can look forward to this happening often. I'm still waiting to hear back, I wish I knew what was going on!

Good luck! McConnell mail room goes through periods of being okay and then periods of being terrible.
