DAMNIT JOYCE COLLIN!! YOU GOT ME AGAIN!!!!!!
Damn, I got a letter from her dead husbands brothers last week, claiming she'd poisoned her husband and that they needed me to protect the money so she wouldn't get her hands on it!
Wonder if it's too late to cancel the check I sent....
This is sad at the very least. I understand how people may say, anyone who falls for that must be silly etc, cause that was my first reaction. However I have researched in the area of scams generally (for research writing) and it is sad to report that many many people fall for this kind of thing. Im not sure on this specific one. The people who fall for these types of things are usually very intelligent people, often with some sort of void in their life, although not neccessarily an obvious one and yes often they too have money themselves. What I do know is that the Ivory Coast is the most active area at the moment, or was at least at begining of 2011. They may claim to be in all sorts of trouble and need and yes Silas you are right, they do manage to draw people in. Sadly even after is it revealed to them that indeed a scam has taken place, they have been so 'brainwashed' they still fail to accept it. Love interest, millitary help, will help, torture, immigration are but a few of the stories used.
Myself, I truly believe anyone who goes out to gain monetry award from an individual that is willful has alot more to deal with when their time ends. Those that have been victims of this type of thing have my sympathy, for want of a better word and I would never look down on them. We are all vulnerable in this world and we all have a long way to go(as a human race) to becoming perfect.
Upgraded to version 4.1.9.
Upgraded to version 4.1.10. Still cleaning up a few files, so keep that in mind if you may encounter anything that seems 'off'.
Upgraded to version 4.1.11. Again, cleaning up a few last files, so keep that in mind if you may encounter anything that seems 'off'.
On a side note, overall performance seems to be stable these days, the odd double post aside. We keep continuing to delete those manually when spotted.
