Yeah, Florida is pretty laid back for the most part. I have one person I write there. Making my first trip up to Gadsden Correctional this weekend as a matter of fact

Wow that is so awesome! Is this your first time overall visiting someone in prison? (can't remember if you visited someone before). When I went to visit my boyfriend in Suwannee (he's now transferred elsewhere) the guards were really nice to me and actually pretty laid back Roy's dorm officer told me he was afraid of her when I asked her if she liked him, lol. I told her to keep it that way and I teased him with it, it gave us a good laugh Anyways, enough with my ramblings, I wish you an awesome visit!

Here's my Christmas Jitters Fanfiction in the making. Would love some feedback:

No, but this will be my first time at a private facility w/ a high census. The classification officers were very polite over the phone. I am just a bit nervous. We aren't sweet on each other or anything but I typically have to talk more than I listen.

I went to the CVS to buy a Christmas card for my pen pal yesterday. It turned out to be pretty difficult. Most of the cards had one of the following problems:

    1) They were covered in glitter or had some other thing inside (like a piece of wool called "a piece of Santa's beard").
    2) The emotion they expressed was too strong for our relationship.
    3) They were keyed to a specific relationship (like father, mother, wife, husband etc.,)

I eventually found something. A gift card / cash holder type with some more generic Christmas greetings. I'd have preferred something without that pocket, but I can just leave that empty. Or I can type up and insert a note there (instead of hand writing it).

Put a letter or picture in the pocket.

We really should have a way to exchange names of our pen pals or LO so that they all get a few cards from different people on their birthdays and holidays, and to make sure that every inmate on here gets a card for his or her birthday and for holidays. If course, it would strictly be on a volunteer basis.

It might take a little while to do but I think it would be well worth it. It would only take a minute or two of our time, a box of greeting cards, a few stamps, and a lot of organization. I think the organization part might be the hardest. If I had a computer and internet, instead of this little smart phone, I could do it fairly easy. I say that like I've done it a million times or something. Lol

It seems like it might be a little off putting if a person suddenly started to get a bunch of greeting cards from a bunch of strangers.

I also wonder if a prisoner getting a bunch of cards from people he can't identify might get the prisoner in trouble with staff.
