Default Baby brother is home on parole

I just got off the phone with my daddy and my baby brother is at his place...he got parole and did not bother to tell me anything, just called dad when they let him out to come pick him up. Dad asked if he could stay with me for a little while until everything can be sorted out, cause my sister is kind of a drama queen and it's better if baby boy does not have to deal with her...so Sunday he is moving in with what things he does have, my dad is taking him shopping to get clothes and stuff today. I want to drive out to my dad's and pick him up, but daddy said no he wants this time with his son, no girls allowed but it will not be long til i gets my baby brother...i'm really happy and kind of worried at the same time...cause i was not ready for this one thought i had about 8 years to figure out where he was going to go...but oh well My brother is HOME

So who did his parole packet? Was your dad not informed that he was parolling to his home? What if your dad had been in the hospital or on vacation? Surely the address needs to be verified?

I don't know what state this is and I only have experience with parole in Nebraska but it sounds very far-fetched to me.

Sorry, didn't even read al, of your post. Does his parole officer even know that he is just being moved to another address? I find this very hard to believe. And I'll bet I'm not the only one.

My father did his parole packet but did not tell me anything about it, i filled out some paper a few months back for my dad...so he is listed to parole to my home so at the moment he is not where he should be because my dad picked him up, he meets with his parole officer on Monday to get all of his rules and i should have a copy at that time as well. I just sign the papers my dad says to sign because he has always handled all the prison stuff and family papers, i don't think anything of it nor do i read it, i just sign where my dad says to sign because i know my dad would never do anything to hurt me...i should have said that to start with but i'm just so on cloud 9 baby boy is home that i forgot. I owe him a pillow slap for his being stupid and getting locked up.

My dad knew he was paroleing but it was not set for 2 months from yesterday, so it was a supirse when the let him go early. Dad just did not tell me about any of it until today when he called.

It's crazy that you can have 8 years left and they can just let you out with little to no warning.
The US prison system is extremely confusing it would seem!

yes they don't do things always by the way the say..but i'm happy he is home. I guess my dad has known for some time just no one bothered to tell me..i'm not surprised it's really an awesome new year present...just hope he can stay out because i don't know what his rules are as of yet, and i just want to keep him with us, because he has been gone way way to long.

I'm surprised that no one from the parole office wanted to drop by and inspect your home, make sure you had no firearms etc in the house.

I agree with FM. This story is unbelievable. Your Dad knew that your Brother was getting out on parole AND he put your address down as the address he is paroling to and no one bothered to tell you? No one came out to do a home visit? You said your Dad asked you if he could stay with you for awhile but it was your address he was paroling to. You just sign papers and don't question them or read them? I don't know of any state that just lets someone walk out of prison and not have to jump through many hoops just to get released. His parole was set for two months from now but no one bothered to tell you? Not only that but they just decided to let him out early with no notice to anyone? He didn't bother giving his Dad a heads up that he was being released early? He's not starting out very well if he was to parole to your house and just ignored that. I call BS on this whole story.

I'm bearly home 5 hours a day with working 2 jobs, my dad has keys to my place and stops by often when the kids are away at school, so all the home checks could have been done at this time.
yes i just sign paper, because my dad has always handle all the legal papers for our family i don't think anything of it, never have thought anything of it, he says sign and i sign. i only found out about his parole address being mine after talking to my dad again, and the reason for that is my dad's home is full of guns, he is ex army and still has a thing for rifles and handguns.
think whatever you like, i'm just happy my baby brother is home.
