Yes it was scary because the body type (short and thick or chunky) really looked like me, if it wasn't for a couple tattoos and birthmarks that I have, it would have been very easy to believe it was me. I guess I was 24 or 25 in this stupid myspace group and the forum was "post your sexiest pictures" and because I don't post anything too wild I joined in with some shoulders-up head shots, next thing I knew another girl sent me a link to a xxx site and those pics had bodies that were having all sorts of things done to them that I've never even experienced. It still makes me cringe.

It is unfortunate just how many people have taken their boredom, poor boundary issues, mental illness, and mean spirited minds to the web for such cruel and pointless games. There's way too much of it on the web and one reason why I tend to shun almost all social media. I'm sorry that happened to you.

Lemme just drag this back to vaguely near the original topic for a moment.

One of the reasons people question inconsistancies in posts and things stated as fact in posts here is usually because we deal with a lot of different states and DoCs and it helps to know what is possible elsewhere and how states vary. It can sometimes lead to someone investigating their own situation further and finding that they can actually do something that they didn't think was possible. It can also lead to someone breaking a rule for the DoC they are dealing with, because someone else told them it was fine without knowing that it was only fine for a different DoC. But the only way that works effectively is to have the information in a clear and true way, so that you can then go off and do your own research.

It was actually anoying to me that we were on page 2 or 3 before Pixie mentioned that this applies to Ohio. That's the kind of information that is really important.

The credibility of the poster is also an important factor. I can't tell you how many times I have seen people post something as a fact, when it was a hearsay experience, and then they spend pages and pages of interweb space getting all pizzy when someone asks them to clarify it. It's a waste of everyone's time; if people used the phrase "in my experience" or "this might not apply to everyone but..." it would be easier to sift out what was really relevant.

There are plenty of people here who don't have English as their first language and it's not normally an issue. Inconsistancies in what is posted is an issue if you are trying to work out whether it could be helpful to you or not.

Just back from seeing stupid boys PO, come to find out i actually know his PO. I did his hardwood flooring and blind install paper work with my job. Rules are pretty simple, no drinking, no drugs, he has a curfew, no firearms. And of course needs to find a job. At the moment he has to report once a week, but they may change later depending on how well he does. Given his record the job hurt is not going t be easy...so i'm looking into some of the contractor that come into my job to see if they have anything.
