Today my Hubby was scheduled for his home visit from his Parole Officer. Well, he overslept and we did not hear the knock on the door, our dog did not bark and we did not hear the phone ring. He woke up and saw we had a message on the phone...sure enough...Parole Officer. He was/still is beside himself. We ran out of the house and met up with Parole Officer at Lowe's parking lot. She could have revoked him for oversleeping!!!!! But she said to not worry about it. AAGGHHHHH!!!! We have 8 years of this to go.

No actual time was scheduled....she just shows up when she gets around to us.....usually she has to reschedule. She has 94 people on her case load....way too much. I told her if it happens again to just come on in....we don't lock our doors anyways. Now my Husband is all mad at himself.

I hope he forgives himself soon. Is he angry with himself because of what could have happened ie: his parole possibly being revoked?

Scheduled and overslept. How can you have overslept if there was no appointment?

And if no time was scheduled, how could she revoke him? It doesn't make sense. He can only be revoked if a condition is violated. And if there is no set time for the PO to visit, that cannot be a violation that he was still in bed when she arrived. He was at the address he is supposed to be. Makes no difference if he is in the bathroom, bedroom or kitchen when she arrives.

No set time...just date....she usually rolls in the driveway around lunchtime. She could have put down that he was not at home. Simple as that....parole revocation. And yes....he is angry with himself for this.

Hey everyone....I have great news that I want to share. About 30 minutes ago my Hub's Parole Officer came by our house...surprise visit and told us that he is now on MEDIUM security Parole, which means one home visit every other month and no more AA and church requirements. He also gets a new Parole Officer....I am blown away by this news, we thought it would be a full calendar year before this all happened but..nope...here now 8 1/2 months since he has been home!!!!!!

That is AWESOME news Natalie! I'm glad things are going well for you and James. Sounds like you both deserve some good things in your life.
