Some of the profiles say they want a pic some don't say anything so should i send one or not ? haha i have never wrote anyone before so i don't really know what to do :/

This is something personal to each person. I sent 2 pics with my first replies. One a head shot another of me doing one of my interests. Its been said that pals tend to reply more to those that send pics, doesn't mean though that those replies are quality ones. To each their own.

I personally think that its always a good thing to send a picture with a first letter. As I wrote my first letter through WAP email service, you can add a picture and sometimes you can't.-Depends on the facility's policy I suppose-

I sent pictures with my second letter.

Just do what you feel comfortable with...when I sent my first letter to an inmate a week ago I didn't feel comfortable but then I felt a bit more comfortable when I wrote my second inmate a couple days ago, so I did include one. It is nice, I think, if the person your writing knows what you look like, but if you'd rather wait a few letters that is okay.

You got a point here that I'd never thought about.
As in a majority of ads we can look at them, I considered fair to send them a picture on the first letter.
Maybe I got to give a second thought; on an other hand, it might be slightly different in case your a woman or a man.
I don't have a clue.

I'm with Moxie and Xtina, i don't send unless asked, usually after the first few letters.

Like others have shared there is no hard and fast rule, it's just what you feel comfortable doing.

I sent one when he asked me for it after 2 or 3 letters. He sent me one of him in exchange, too .
