Hi everyone I'm new here and I've written three people today and I was just wondering seeing as some of them are artists and I was wondering do you think if we become pen pals we would be able to exchange photo's of our artwork, I understand that some art would defiantly not be allowed but my art is innocent and my photography is of make up just the eyes. of course you'd be able to send pictures of your art.
not sure if any of them would be able to - depends on the prison of course.

If your artwork is "innocent" enough I am sure you can exchange your artwork. I do the same with my penpals, we either send original artwork back and forth or pictures of it. I also send photography and I never had a problem so far.

This made me think of something my pen pal wrote to me once. He said that he had a woman that kept asking him to do art for him. He is really good and has sent me photos of it (though I had to mail them back to him). Well, he asked her what she was doing with it and she told him that she was selling it because apparently prison art brings in some pretty good money. She wasn't even selling it for him. She was selling it to benefit HER. I think he only sent her two but after he found that out she was history. He found it very offensive that she was using him.

He said he was drawing me something for my birthday but I was going to get it WAY early and that I was forbidden to open it until my actual birthday. I won't but it's gonna kill me. I feel lucky that he even trusts me enough to send me something. AND he's REALLY good so I'm excited.

How terrible of people. My guys send me tons of art but I don't ask for it and I have an entire scrapbook full of it. It's amazing but that is awesome for you too that you get an awesome birthday present! Lucky you!

Wow, that is messed up!!! I frame the pictures he sends me and keep all the cards out so I can always look at them. I still have 2 pieces I have to find frames for.
