I wrote a friend of mine in prison a long letter but i addressed the envelope to the prison physical address instead of the inmate mailing address. I have both addresses but was in a hurry and wrote the wrong one. Will my friend still get the letter?

Maybe yes, maybe no. You haven't given us any clues to even the COUNTRY let alone which state it might be. If it gets there it gets there, and if it doesn't then if it has your address on, you'll get it back eventually.

OK, the experience I have had with PA is that if you get any part of the name, inmate number or address wrong, it will be returned to you. But you may get lucky and have a mail person who knows where it should go.
