I sent a email (using this site) to a inmate (Oregon) from France. I left my postal address (France) as well as my e-mail address on my 1st mail.
How long does it take to get the soonest reply supposing that the inmate is replying the day she gets my mail?

ok it depends each state is different and the emails from here are sent out on the 4th of 20th of the month. that doesnt mean they get them then they are only sent by post on these days.
A couple of weeks maybe even a lot longer.

It could be as long as a month. It's hard to do but be patient. You'll most likely get a reply when you're least expecting it.

I got yesterday letter from my newest pp (at Oklahoma), it took a bit less than a month for him to write back (but promised to write next one quicker). Other my pps reply about in a week when they get mine.
And what comes to travel times of letters, it's about a week (doesn't matter is it from Texas, Nevada or Oklahoma), to Finland.

Can anyone give me some idea of what is happening with the US Mail, or prison mail in general ... I have a pp on the west coast and one in Texas who both write regularly but I've received nothing for over 5 weeks is it me or is there a problem....
Any advice would be great !

I don't know where you are but if any of this mail has to go in or out of the east coast to get there, Hurricane Sandy is your problem. Transportation got messed up in a major way and is still messed up in some ways.

Other than that, prison go through upheavals in mail regularities. I've seen mail take 14 days to get to me from Nevada and I only live one state over!!!!
