Not so bad news: He said he thinks a friend of his might like writing me, so if I give him my permission he will ask his friend to write me. I said sure why not!

Wow, I must say this guy sure is taking care of it in the best way ever!! He takes time to respond to you (costs a stamp which he could use to write his special girl too), he is honest (as in faithfull, the other girl would never know if he writes you too) PLUS he helps a friend out who is less lucky!

And I am glad you see this too, I've read a lot of stories here about great friendships that started that way!!

This makes me think of something my guy told me in his last letter that 2 girls had written him and that he had passed them over to a friend he has in there without asking first i must say and although I am flattered and it makes me smile i kept thinking uh oh the girls wont be happy being passed over lol

It's the not asking first part that is a bit unthoughtfull I think.
I've read here before about a guy who let his friend write a letter but wrote the envelope himself so that the friend didn't have the girls address. So that when she didn't agree with being passed over, she could just tell him.
That was nice too.

I totally agree with you. I am not entirely sure how he did it but i can only guess that he gave the addresses out and no i dont think it was the right thing to do. BUT i am flattered at the fact that he didnt take contact with them even though i have told him over and over that he can write others and that i dont mind.

It is indeed very nice of him to hook me up with his friend and that he is being so nice to his girl., even though I am did declare that I am not looking for romance. I did tell him that I don't want to write to anyone on death row or serving life without parole, I just can't and don't know how to deal people in such dire straits and I get too attached to people. So, fingers crossed!

Hey maybe your guy is the guy I wrote to. lol. I personally wouldn't like being passed over to someone else without being asked first, so I am very glad he asked permission to do so.

As much as i would love to think that its my guy i can say fairly sure that it wasnt. Especially now when you say that you wouldnt like to write someone doing life without parole as that is exactly the sentence my guy has. I do know that he didnt do it with intent to be malicious and that he would never pass names over to someone he doesnt know and like. No excuse i know i might hint to him in a letter that girls dont like to be passed around haha.
