    Default Phone calls

My pp asked for my phone number yet they have not called? Is there some sort of call list they need to have approved. WE write quite often and I was just curios as I am new and did not know how this works?

Did you give a cell phone number or a land line? Cell phones are somewhat hard if not impossible to get a collect or operated assisted call placed on. The cell or local carrier might also have a block on operated assisted calls.

Find out from your pp which service they use for phone calls. My pp's have different service providers. See thread on Evercom aka Corrections Billing Svcs. I would also call your local phone co to verify if there is a block on your phone number.

    Good luck

My Pen-pal calls me from NV. I gave her my cell number to reach me. They have a thing where you get like 5 minutes for free < so you know what the service is> then you have to pre-pay for time. I just started doing it so I'm not an expert, but it looks like you have to prepay time so they can call.
