Does anyone have any idea where I would go to find a lawyer in northern Missouri that would file a petition pro bono? What does the lawyer get in lieu of money for working pro-bono? Tax deduction? Thanks for any & all help on this one folks.

There are a LOT. Just do a search for key words like Pro Bono and then add Missouri and many individual sites for different law firms come up. I saw a few in St.Loius area. But you need criminal defense or appelate? Thats where it gets more tricky. You have to make sure they have your area.
