Well, look whose education is hanging out of his pants!
My ancestry is mostly Koori, but that one-quarter Scots sits heavily on my shoulders.

All of us make that same goofy mistake every now and then.

I was going to make some erudite remark about the Auld Alliance, but a simple hello seemed more appropriate in the end.

"Feedback is a pleasant thing. I get a lot of letters from unexpected people in unexpected places." Brian Aldiss

Well, I'm in the infernal circle again!
Aftter I sent my letter to B. I know I'll have to wait weeks before her reply.
Fortunately, I found out in a WAP thread, a tip from a poster which indicates how to send free postcards with personal pictures.
I jumped on the opportunity, and send a lot of my photos to B. -Pictures of me, my hometown,

6. A process of discovery

“Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.” ~William Wordsworth

Three weeks. Here’s what it takes to get my first reply out of my mail box. First thought: “here we are!” First look: “who has replied?” First surprise: It comes from B.-whom wish was not to correspond overseas- see chapter 5.

In a glimpse I forgot all I was ready to do this morning, just being focused on that rectangle piece of paper. I know it sounds weird, but at that particular time I was

5. Browsing faces

Choosing. Isn’t that weird? Making a choice out of hundreds faces.

After a quick look around, I would like to write to all of them. Just to tell my support, tell them they’re not alone, people out there are thinking of them. But in order to get the things well done, I have to set a couple of criteria…

The interesting thing in this whole adventure is that it obliges you to be introspective. Let me get myself clear, I’m 45 and considering knowing myself pretty well. But

4. Charlie and the inmates’ factory

by Saoirse on 07-08-2012 at 06:52 PM
For a couple of hours I went through a bunch of web sites proposing inmates ads.

As a stranger, I’m upset about trying to write as correctly as I can and I’m very careful of the meaning of words. I was surprised that some of these sites treated female inmates such as “babes”, “dolls”, “chicks” most of the times added by “behind bars” or “in jail” and so on…

Those are women, female inmates; someone’s daughters or mothers. They deserve to be treated as human being first

3. Brainstorming or gut feeling

by Saoirse on 07-06-2012 at 02:52 PM
So I’m standing in front of my bathroom wall, thinking of Miss X and Miss Y, trying to find the pros and cons, should I be going with my guts or make it out of a more educated thinking?

A storm under a skull…Questions that raised from nowhere. What’s the next step to take? Besides the two addresses I got weren’t out of an inmate’s demand themselves, they had been posted by someone from the site’s staff. Never mind, I’m so determinate to achieve that first goal that I don’t realize
