Does anyone know anthing about Serco, the UK-based corporation that manages prisons across the world? Their own website is singularly unhelpful.

Serco are a facility supprt system and they are based in Hampshire they cover everything prison in certain parts of the UK as well as sports facilities they have some involvement in a prisonn on Christmas Island sorry I was watching tele while my nephew was telling me about it

Seems that they have control of some major rail services, hospitals, and prisons as well as most of the immigration detention centres in Australia.

Their reputation seems to be really lousy.

I was wanting to know if anyone else has come accross the company, and if they have any opinions on their operations.

They seem to be quite secretive about what they do, and where. Their contracts with the Australian government appear to be classified, even though they are raking in 100s of millions of taxpayers' for the detention centres. See my latest post on the relevant thread.
