I've got a bunch of gold (mostly gifts from EX boyfriends, lol) and I'm SERIOUSLY considering selling it to get the money for the airline tix. I don't WEAR it anymore anyway. Not because it's from exes but because I don't like gold anymore anyway. If I can come up with about $200 for the gold I can come up with the rest of the cash. I have one piece that's pretty heavy and will probably come close.

$8? I had this teeny ring weighed and it would have been $22 for just that ring.

I dont know the kids just keep telling me to weigh in my wedding ring as our gold prices are high, but I might just get a price on it just to see how P'd off would he be if he knew his wedding ring gave me some extra spending money lol

@Ymi - you should! I'm thinking about doing the same. It's not as if it's in bad blood or anything really. It's just the fact that it's lying about. Either that or pawn it? Least someone else would be able to use it! I like my silver more, but i keep getting gifts of gold As much as it's appreciated, i really don't wear the stuff

@Gerri - we're getting good prices atm for gold, eh! There's a few traders/dealers in my town, some bigger chains and some independent, not sure who's best though

Well I think everyone can see that our anniversary is on Valentines Day. So Yes Im going to see her Then. But I have been thinking that if I wait until the weekend of the 26th and 27th I might be able to stay the week and see her again on the 5th and 6th. That would mean we would get to spend 16 hours together before I return to Alabama. Im sure that this would work b/c it would be in different months, but I was hoping to get some input on this. Does this sound right Sunray, since you are always so knowledgeable about these things. Thanks for any hep from anyone.

Oooh that might actually work! Aswell as Sunrays wise words, best checking/calling to see if it can be arranged. I know that if you're travelling a fair distance, special arrangements CAN take place, depending on state/how nice people are feeling!
