I just got home from dinner with friends and we had a discussion about how often one sees their significant other. I base this question on the preface that your significant other is not incarcerated or deployed, something with a long commitment that they will be away, this question came about with her living 50 yards from her boyfriend. Could you go 4 weeks without seeing your significant other? I surely could not, even if we had opposite schedules, I would find a way. If he was in the same city, I would need that interaction.

My boyfriend and I live together but he works out of town a lot. Sometimes there will be months that I can't see him. It's not ideal but it happens. I think if I lived in the same city and there were no out of town schedules and I didn't see him for a month that's not saying a lot for the relationship...

I guess if I lived in the same city as my boyfriend and I didn't interact with him for a month I would think he wasn't my boyfriend. When I was in a relationship we talked on the phone every night even if we were going to see each other and the other one always called when we got home to make sure we got there safely. So I'd answer no.

I am very very independent lol I need a lot of time to myself and guys who want to be together alllllll the time really bug me. I am not cold or insensitive, I just like space. not being clung onto a lot. I could go 4 weeks without seeing my partner for sure

4 weeks is a long time even when you live in the same city. I would absolutely have to see him.
Is that not seeing him and no calls either? Not that it matters if there were calls id be whining telling him I miss him. I like my own space same as Karleep but I think 4 weeks is a bit long to be waiting to see a boyfriend.

I'm very independent and some of my relationships in the past have ended because of it. I like my alone time and my personal space and don't like to be smothered. Had one relationship where I wished he would go away for 4 weeks before.
