It's not just showing flesh Taft causes pictures to be banned. Pictures showing people drinking alcohol, wearing bandanas, making certain hand gestures, pictures showing money or people wearing certain colours or styles of clothing that could be interpreted as gang affiliation will also be banned. I'm not saying that your pictures fell into any of the above categories but it's useful to bear in mind that it's not just naked flesh that will cause a picture to be denied.

AAhhhh! REally? People send nudies on the first go? I would never send those kinds of goods to a prison! Creepy to think who would see all your bits and pieces.

LOL exactly....who knows who takes a peek at that before it gets to the inmate 0.o When I write letters, I always just think about if I would be upset if this certain photo or words were to be put on a billboard. If the answer is yes, I wouldn't put it in there lol but I am also not in any official relationships with an inmate so it might be different for couples

I haven't heard of anyone on WAP saying they did but it's like you hear people's gf's or wives complaining about it on other forums (some random person sending pics) or inmates telling new pp's about weirdos that sent them strange pics or letters. Apparently women inmates get a lot of crap sent to them.
Mind you, I've had the same in reverse, first letters being full of madness or sex requests or all kinds of TMI.

I thought that too at first but I think someone showed some sexy pictures that you could do that don't show a lot of skin. Probably still wouldn't do it but you never know

It is different for couples, though. At first I struggled with the concept that our correspondence was not private and was seen by at least the mail room staff and possibly others as it makes its way from me to him and vice versa. But I've got over that now and I just pretend they're not there and only he will read our letters.

When I go for visits I do wonder if when they type my name into the computer it comes up with comments from the mail room about my letters but that's just my paranoia.

Or when I had to call the mail room about something and they asked for his number and my name I was half expecting her to say "Oh, you're the one who likes ..."

I posted some suggestions for shots that were sexy but didn't show everything a while ago.

The folks in the mailrooms have seen it ALL before, there are only so many ways to describe things. And generally, those who work in the mailrooms don't work visitation as well or even the housing units, so unless they happen to be incredibly sad or their spouse or partner works at the same unit, no one else is going to know if you write something steamy.

Yes I can see how it would be different for couples, but even if I was attached I think the farthest I would go is undies cause that's pretty much a bathing suit anyway. I don't mind the mail room reading my letters though, I pretend they don't exist as well. Also I'm an open book anyway so it doesn't really bother me.
