After a long consideration and much hesitation, I finally posted my first ever letter this morning! But right after I slipped that letter into the postbox I start to worry about all sorts of things, if I shouldn't have sent my letter, what if he doesn't reply, etc etc..
Yeah I'm just paranoid that way...

Do any of you feel the same way when you posted your first letter? That mixture of excitement, nervousness and perhaps a bit of uncertainty?

I'm at the airport now, going on my vacation. I was thinking of taking lots of photos and sending it to him when I'm back, together with a birthday card. But if he didn't intend to write back, would I seem annoying if I keep sending him stuff without waiting for his reply letter? *sigh* I'm such a worry wart ;A;

To be honest I forgot all about my first letter then I got a reply in about 3 weeks.
Yes take lots of pics..I dont think you would be annoying but please be aware that he might not write back for a number of reasons. If you decide you want to do this fully then there are others out there needing penpals.

I was nervous and worried too when I had sent my first letter, but so far the journey has been very pleasant, I don't regret it at all.

don't worry about it too much as fee said I think you will be totally excited and happy once you get your first reply. I guess it's normal to be a little uncertain if you do things like this for the first time in your life. Have a great vacation and happy writing after that!!

Most likely he'll write back, but if he doesn't, nothing's lost. There's a lot of people out there who would love to have a pen pal. Enjoy your vacation and don't worry about it.

Dear Worrywart. Take a jillion pictures and quit worrying. Send him a post card, also, while you are out there, vacationing. He will be delighted to know that you were thinking about him. Also, make notes on what your really like, and perhaps what you really dislike about the vacation. In his narrow space, he will be glad to hear it all. So, have a great time, quit worrying, and Happy Writing! :-)
