I got a letter yesterday from my texan penpal and it was so cute I had to share. He taped little flowers on the letter even though he said it was contraband. Now, I don't know if it really is as the mailroom let it go through but it was just so very cute. He said it was worth getting in trouble for which I quickly wrote back and told him it was NOT, LOL. I've gotten dozens of roses that didn't mean as much to me as those little wilted taped flowers.

He also wrote that he used to have a dog with the exact same name as a dog I had. Now you might think that is not odd BUT the name is very unusual, not buddy or spot haha, too unusual not to mean something. No idea what yet but... I'm just VERY glad that I decided to pick this particular person to write to. He has very quickly become part of my life and I don't think I"m gonna give that up.

Congratulations I am generally skeptical when it comes to so-called kinship of souls, the compatibility of the facts and the close similarity between strangers. But on the other hand, it is very nice when you meet someone who thinks like you, who feels just like you. A person with whom you have much in common and that means a lot to you. It is very important. I wish you many similar and nice letters

Ahh, the connection. Yes, I know it very well. It's odd sometimes how you can find someone that has the smallest things in common with you, isn't it?

I think some profiles speak to people in different ways. Some may feel very touched by the words that were written and are drawn to the person because of those words. I felt that way with my 1st pen pal's ad and felt almost as strongly after reading R's old profile.

Thank you Moxie, even after I realized what he had done, I still wanted to get to know him and be a support.
