Inmates with lots of tattoos are just like any other folk. Just perhaps a little more decorative.

To be honest..Im not really that keen on it. Just recently iv been talking to my guy about this and he isnt keen on it either he has tattoo's but he wont get any below his elbows because he has to get out of there one day and go for job interviews and he thinks that it would be harder for some people if they are all tattooed.
Personally I think tattoo's on your face is horrible but each to their own really.

You have to take into account that there are ethnic and cultural aspects at play here.
The Grandmother that raised me, who was of 50/50 European/Polynesian descent, had an elaborate moko tattooed on her face. Until I started school, I thought that women without the moko were ugly.

Hi Silas and Foe!:
I don't mind this type of things...In fact I have a lot of tattoos, too...(the all left arm, my both twin muscles, my insteep and the both parts of my chest) and on 24th I'm going to start my half right arm...then is not a problem for me...but I saw on some inmates profiles that they talk about this....then say that don't stop anybody to write them 'cause they're tattooed a lot!....and my question is if in States is a problem for the society somebody tattooed a lot or not!...thanks a lot for ur reply to both!...kiss
I do. When people get beards tattood on their faces I dont think that has anything to do with ethnicity but ok I could be very wrong.
There is a guy from here Silas he lives right across the road from me and he has a celtic design on his face. he regrets it and now that hes getting older it just looks horrible. theres not a lot he can do about it now except regret.

Well, you're not wrong... but it's true that in some countries, the tattoo is part of the culture. Besides, tattoos are referred to as an element of contemporary culture. Personally, I do not have and do not want to have a tattoo, but I understand those who want to have them in their body. In fact, however, tattoos can be an obstacle at a job interview. Sometimes even the beard is such an obstacle. I do not like tattoos on the face, on the neck. But it's a matter of taste.

I am in Australia, so I cannot comment on community attitudes in the USA.
I am a tattooed person.
One of my Aunts had heavily tattoed forearms. She had had what my Mother, tactfully, called "less than salubrious teenage years", and had served time in prison. My Aunt never covered up her tattoos, not even in Church. I think that they may have been her badges of survival.
