    Default Sending Photos to PP's??

I know that quite a lot of you send photos to your pp's. Photos of you, photos of your pets, where you live, places you go and so on.

I was wondering whether you send them photos with other people on as well as yourself? Like, group photos of you with family or friends? I was thinking about it today, and I'm not sure whether I should avoid sending photos featuring people other than me to my pp's, as the other people on the photos may not be comfortable with the idea of inmates having photos of them.

Should I avoid sending photos of others to my (hopefully) pp's-to-be? Should I ask the other people for their permission before I send photos featuring them? How do you guys deal with this? Have you even ever thought about it? Am I worrying too much?

I should note that I don't mean photos where people happen to be in the picture - like photos taken in public with random people in the background. I mean photos of me with family and friends clearly visible in the foreground.

I mostly send photos of just me or with family to my pp... I would ask just in case someone does feel uncomfortable.... but, for me it's never been a problem... Of course, for someone you've just started writing to, I would send photos of only you until you really get to know them.

I always send photo's to my chap of me,my friends & family, they are part of my life and he is part of mine so why shouldn't he see them. I must admit I didn't when I first started writing but did a few months later. It depends how comfortable you are about it. Maybe get to know him a bit better at first then go from there. Also I never asked my family or friends permission, didn't see why I needed too, but I felt comfortable him seeing the people I care about so I didn't have any concerns.

Think of all the millions of people who could download your photos from Facebook with a simple click. I always send pics of me & my friends etc. and don't really feel the need to ask their permission, as 9/10 that pic is online for all to see anyway

Iv never ever thought about asking anyone before for permission. I agree with Karleigh think of the millions that can download them through facebook...I send K pics of everything and if its a pic of me and my friends then so be it.

I really don't see the harm sending a photo with you a family member or friends can do? It's just a picture of a person and nothing more. There aren't any details on the photo that say who this other person is. You just send it and say that's me with a friend in a pub or in London.....and so on! You've got to remember that our PP's love seeing photo's of us and our friends and family, it makes them feel like your including them in your life, all they see are those concrete walls and barbed wire fences.

I was like you at the beginning of my writing also. My friends were heavily against me writing an inmate at first plus my family also. So I figured know what, day by day, week by week etc they'll come around. Which they did thank god. I on the other hand did ask ''permission'', just slowly though you know feeling out people if so and so lol. Doesn't mean I send full family potrets but just one by one. Most of them are cool now. And now it's more like oh this is blabla I went to club this with, or look my cousin I ate out with.

p.s. It took a little whining though lol but he's slowly ''getting to know'' my family and all of my friends. And yep all based on what Nads also said, he's a part of me and my family + friends are too, so yeah.

I rarely get my picture taken with others, except with my best friend/ my baby sisters and my brothers.. And sometimes ... if I think I really want them to see that picture ... then I send it. I've never formally asked for their permission, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't loose sleep over it.

I have however asked my dog for her permission... She needs to know where her pics end up... :P nah, I'm just playin'. hahah
