FMWCC on lockdown?
a PP of mine said for the next 7-10 months she'll have to be in her cell for 23hrs and 45mins a day with 15mins for a shower.
does that mean they are on lockdown or something else?
i haven't seen anything in the news or on the forums here so just wanted to ask.
thanks everyone!!

Re: FMWCC on lockdown?
Hi,that's not a lockdown.
It's SHU,AdSeg that's where they spend 23h in their cells.

Re: FMWCC on lockdown?
thanks tayla!
wow... wonder what the reason was now? i just sent a reply letter in yesterdays mail and sent a few scenic pictures i'd taken to give her something to look at since she said there was no windows, but i didn't know that what she described was AdSeg.
now i feel kinda bad for not knowing... but i hope the pictures i sent help with giving a better view

Re: FMWCC on lockdown?
Don't worry she'll get your letters.
They spend 23h in a real small cell.Ask her what she has done to get at AdSeg.
My guy has spend 8 years at AdSeg.

Re: FMWCC on lockdown?
ya.. she said she has a "wonderful" cell mate too... it was sarcastic but would she have one while being in AdSeg? my next letter to her will be my 4th letter but and until now, she hadn't brought up about what she is in for or that she'd been sentenced before (my guess once before). yes, i looked online before mailing her and did a short google search to try to find out more on the story with little success... but i just brought up the question asking what happened but that if she didn't want to talk about it that i wouldn't push the question further.
i couldn't being to think what it'd be like to spend 23hrs a day in a small room, and not even a window. even while the earliest she could be released (as shown here) isn't until 2027 (latest being 'N/A'.. life), we've been making a list of things to do together when she gets out.
oh wow! 8 years?!
(so ADHD doesn't help with staying focused and not rambling.. got it! LOL)

Re: FMWCC on lockdown?
as for that cellmate maybe she's talking about the next cell right or left behind her cell, but she doesn't share her cell with someone not at AdSeg.

Re: FMWCC on lockdown?
I have two in that situation, one got in a fight with someone on the yard andmy pp will be in the SHU unit, have no clue what SHU stands for? lol, til the other guy is released, which i looked up, is 2014 or 2016...
and another recently ended up , something about another fight, i dont know the details, they havent chanrged him hes waiting to be charged with assult i think.
but both ask for pics of outside, one doesnt go outside for an hour or whateve rit is
its a four walls going high litereally, he says its to dpressing i can understand that one,
hes a wonderufl pp writes a lot, lots of conversation and etc, i dunno if it woudl be the same if he wasnt in SHU, but whatever, he be there til at least 2014, and hes in for 60 years, so hes just waiting his time.
the other one started freaking out some in the begining, and nows hes haning on, he wanted post cards of animals and senery, and i have a hard time finding post cards, i dunno they must be outta style i tell ya..or else what a truck stop i dunno where one is...
