OK well my first issue was when i received letter number one, amazing 6 pages seemed like a really sweet guy & so happy to get a letter from someone, a little hard to read though the grammar was a bit average. Anyway another letter arrived, totally different handwriting & a more straight to the point attitude, but says was from the same person. In both letters he says its so hard to find the money for stamps as he doesn't work yadda yadda!!!! Well a third letter arrives today saying how brilliant i am for sending pics & writing, then he asks for a money order so he can buy hygiene products & stamps of course, but if i don't send one its OK he will still like me. He went on to say another 3 times how i could send him on. Is this a normal occurrence only after 3 letters .... Im sort of feeling like a cash-cow!!!!! Plus i notice in one letter he says he has one son now its changed to a daughter, hmmmmmm interesting

I have told all my pals from the very first letter that I am not able to send money or visit. If they are allowed to receive stamps, then I can send those occasionally, but only one of my pals can receive them. If they know from the start, it saves misunderstandings later.

I agree with Smiley. There are too many red flags on this one. I have only had one pp, out of 4, who have ever asked for money, and I have never seen any hand writing changes. I would be very cautious, with this person.

Lots of good inmates would appreciate a letter from you.

There are way too many red flags on this one. You are not an ATM Machine.

They are provided stamps and writing materials IF they are truly INDIGENT.

They are even provided the bare necessities, including hygiene supplies. While it may not be what they were use to in the free world, it is enough to get them by, and to survive on.

I would politely write him and say, I am sorry this just won't work out for me.

When someone is asking for money so early on, it is usually an indication that money is all they are seeking.

Thanks guys .... i sort of thought the same, but being he was my first and all, i didnt really want to think anything negative. I didnt realise they where supplied things in Prison, wow i am a novice..
