well i got my reply although he claims he wasnt asking me for money he did think i'd take over his affairs if something should happen to his mother .Wow maybe it wasnt putting my foot in my mouth after all i did find out where he was coming from although its been 3 yrs this pal and I are soon to part ways .He said he was very dissapointed that i would say no i will write now and then but thats about it

guess those true colors shined threw also got a pretty nasty reply to me telling him I'm not going to be writing much in September oh well he found outim not someone he can count on balh blah

Tracy. After three years you must be a bit shocked but I think this is a good thing that this has happened as you now understand this man's real motives. Sorry it has happened though as it is very hurtful.

thank-you Scott this is a man who never asked for a dime although he has asked if i could get him some things and had me looking up a lot on the web to print out for him i never thought he'd ever expect me to ever handle his affairs if God forbid something happened to his mother who handles money on his books his home his taxes his paper books his legal expenses wow so yes i was hoping it was something as simple as what peanut had suggested just looking up records to make sure things were paid and to that i said it was not my place either so I'm rather stunned he would now expect that from me if as i said something should happen .I will do this very slowly and nicely but its time for me to back away from this one

I understand that feeling of not wanting to pick up the pen, and I've not written to anyone anywhere near as long 3 yrs. That is a shame that it came to that after all the time but also you're right, I suppose at least the true colors showed through.
Like Scott said though, still hurtful .... especially when relationships that take so long to build over time, then end so quickly

i will answer his not so nice letter when I'm in a more nicer frame of mind ignore the digs and just extremly nice yet busy till he weans off writing last time i abruptly stoped writing him (over some perverted comments)i got letter after letter of hurtful remarks saying i was some how using him wanted to hurt prisoners etc etc....till i eventually wrote back and told him off but he made me feel so bad that i started checking on him (sigh) this time i will be more careful on how to approach this

oh i wanted to add even tryed to find him a pp to replace me at that time

Wow! Sorry to hear that dragonfly. That would be, kind of a shock, to hear a request like that. Even after three years of writing. That sounds like a family matter and I have to assume that you weren't talking marriage, or anything, where he might expect you to pick up where his mom left off. Maybe he would like for you to do his laundry too? :-)
