I need information re what you can send/or not send to a Georgia State facility. Also, let me know how you can send money for their account. I couldn't find this information on their website.
Thanks for your help.

Good luck with that, I got lost on their website to to end up with no answer. Than posted here and someone suggested to talk to your PP. LOL I don't know why I never thought of that but unless you are trying to surprise them they will be your best bet. Or at least that is the advice that was given to me....I will find out next letter.
My PP told me to ask him but I thought I might be able to get things moving quicker than waiting for him to send the information back to me.
Call the actual facility where the inmate is being housed. Georgia's website is a complete nightmare.
You can send practically nothing to Georgia. I can send my pal money in the form of a money order, and I can send photos. But thats it. A card, a postcard are fine. But you cant send stamps, books, or anything else.

If you send a money order, it has to be a postal money order and filled out with absolutely NO mistakes - no white-out or erasures! And don't forget the DOC number - it'd get returned to you. If you want to send something, your pal could send you a package request that he/she has had approved, which indicates specifically what you are sending.

Hi Janiceann,
I have sent two Money Orders to a man in GA, for a friend. And they both came from a store call Meijers. Not postal money orders at all. Plus they are way cheaper. Only 65¢ compared to the $1.60 that the PO charges.
