does or has anyone had a pp in the connally unit in texas? Just wondering what type of prison it is?

I have a pp in Connally Unit. He seems pretty nice so far, even if his first letter I recieved, had faxed over (and being in pensil), and could barely read and misread most of it.... It freaked me out... Then I got the REAL letter, and read it, and found that I was reading it all wrong.

I am nervous though, cause its my first time doing this, and I have some questions about some things that were said. Of course Ill bring it all up to him....

Connally Unit is not a really old place, but its HUGE, it has over 2890 inmates, out of a capacity of 2900. My PP has told me its violent in there, and there is a lot of beatings, rapes, and he seen people die in front of him. Now this could be a scare tactic, but I kinda believe him. I mean, anyone ever seen Natural Born Killers? Im PRAYING for his safety (he is released soon), and that nothing happens to him before his parole...
