a bit concerned
Hiya everyone!
I sent a letter back in the middle of november to my penpal on Florida DR, and normally i get a reply pretty quickly - within 3 weeks (i am in the uk). It's now been over 6 weeks, and i haven't heard from him.
should i be worried?
:-(

hello kitty i am in the uk also. and the male is late all the time. so i would not worry too much about it just yet.i recive mail from the month previous. just hang in there for a little while..

You ever think maybe it got lost in the mail?? Maybe you should write him again and ask if he's okay or did he recieve the last letter you wrote....
-
Bad news, some have been thrown in isolation ( the hole), the DOC has found some had ads on certain websites. So that could be the reason.
-
I was only asking because i am concerned, that reply sounded slightly patronising.
I have thought it may have got lost, and didn't know whether to write again or to give it some more time, which is why i raised the topic.
I also though of all the christmas mail and the possible delay because of nonpostal days over the xmas - new year time.
i wondered if anyone else had had the same problems or concerns and what people thought i should do.
thanks

sorry - my last reply was aimed at golf pro.
what kind of things do people get put in "the hole" for?
I didn't find my penpal on this site, so i haven't mentioned this website in my letters, the only time i have mentioned the internet ad where i found him was in my very first letter and i have sent a few since then.
would he be thrown in the hole for an old letter?
i'd hate to think i caused him to get put in solitary :-(

Patronizing --- Oppps... No of coarse NOT, I meant "maybe it got lost in the mail" Not "YOU ever THINK it got lost in the mail, Jezz your stupid!!!" Sometimes its hard to write what you mean ... I have never on this site ever wrote anything to patronize anyone -- I am grateful for eveyone of you on here! I learned so much, in such a short period of time from you WAPsters!

thank you, and sorry - i wasn't having a go at you at all. :-)
i value everyone's comments. sometimes it is hard to type it how you mean it to sound.
I value everyones comments here, you all seem great :-)
would i be able to find out if he's in isolation? I'm gonna feel real guilty if thats my fault :-(
am just concerned, i think i'll give it a few more days and then send another letter.
i hope he's ok

Well he could have ads, try googling his name. alot of DR inmates have ads on CCAP, and Im not saying thats the reason you have not heard from him, but its a possibility. Maybe someone else writes him and mentioned the ad??
Maybe he has lack of funds, no writing supplies... anything can be the reason.. if this out of the norm, for him call the prison.

We should be lenient in our judgment, because often the mistakes of others would have been ours had we had the opportunity to make them.
