Hello Dragonfly and welcome to WAP - there would normally be a few more folks around to answer you, but for obvious reasons they are otherwise engaged!

I believe that the e mails are printed out and sent to the inmate. You might also write a letter to the person you've e mailed - normally you'll find your letter gets there before the e mail.

I hope you have a happy holiday

If you look at the advert, there is normally a link to the institution they are at. Once you are at the institution site, there is normally a link to look up information on your pp's crime.

Be yourself in your letter - if you write a brief note explaining who you are, where you are from, general interests (music, tv shows, any sports you might be interested in etc) and what you expect from your 'relationship'; I say this because you should be upfront with them about whether or not you're looking to get involved 'romantically' and also if you don't want to help out with money/donations etc. You might also consider getting a PO Box for your address, though if you've already e mailed them it might be too late to consider this?

Others will probably answer this question better than me, I'm just trying to give you some basic advice

    Hi Dragonfly. Welcome to WAP!

There are tips to writing inmates on the home page of WAP and you can find an answer to any question from the members of this forum.

Here's hoping you find a a great pp and "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again!"
