Write or Type Letters?
I know this question has been asked in the past, but have no idea where that thread is now! So, figured I'd ask again and anyway, we have many newcomers since that thread.
I write my letters as I just think this way is more personal and hey, I like using writing materials - much more than typing on a computer. Personally, think it's nice to see someone's writing too and like getting written letters myself!

I do both. If I have a lot to say and I want to write a Long letter I type because I can type as fast as I can think.
But if I want to write just a page or so I sometimes sit all comfy on the sofa and hand write it - that way I can personalise it with doodles etc.
But recently my pal told me that he reads my letters 3 times then he rips them up and flushed them down the toilet because he doesnt want any one else to get hold of them ... so I dont think it really matters whether I write or type anymore! lol.

I hand write all mine but recently got letters from 2 pps that had typed their letters to me. One just got a typewriter given to him and wants to practice and the other said he types all his letters. Both told me I could type my letters to them if I wanted too!! LOL maybe thats a hint!

I hand write my letters. It seems to be a little more personable...and believe me it take me for ever to finish....

I handwrite my letters i think it's much more personal.I don't like to get typed letters myself, and i'm happy my friends handwrite their letters to me.
I have a messy handwriting and i apologize sometimes myself for being messy.
My friend wrote me this about it:
'There is no need to apologize for having a messy handwriting.Mine isn't much better. It's okay that's what makes you real. And seperates you from everyone else who print their letters.'
No typing for me!Sometimes i do type my letters first, and then i rewrite it on paper.

I type mine. I agree handwritten ones are more personal, but my handwriting is so bad they would be unreadable. I apologised to my pp for typing them, and she said she didn't care. She knows the words come from the heart even though they flow through a computer.I of course don't type my signature.

As my hands shake from the meds that I have to take, I type all of my letters. About 2 months ago my house was broken into, and they took my computer, so I had to hand write a few of them, and it took me forever!!!

...man...did this topic bring back some thoughts...as I was learning to write while in prison...I recall receiving letters from this elderly man,(my PP), his writing was so hard to understand at times because of extreme arthritic hands...and many times he ask me to forgive his bad handwriting, yet he told me he thought it made a different when someone could read hand written words.
Today, I carry on with that same thought when corresponding with my pp's. So much more intimate and personal...what I never mentioned to him was because I couldn't spell very well...it literally took me hours to write him back...often drafting 2 or 3 copies before I was satisfied it was good enough to send out, and my letters often were 10 or 20 pages long...I guess it shows today lol...thank you for helping me to remember that...gd4or

I do both!
I handwrite and type my letters. If I type my letters, then I buy like decorative computer paper, or I make cards, or I use colored ink for the letters. I love to be creative

Hand written all the way. The only typed stuff i send out is stuff i have looked up and printed off, which leads to another question, ok or not ok, i didnt think before i sent a rooster of his fav football team with games dates times and scores or previous games, is that ok?
