Can WAP customers have their ads updated to say they've found someone special & just want friendship penpals from there on out, rather than deleting them? And if so,is there an extra cost for that?

I believe you have to submit a whole new ad. Same price. Correct me if i'm wrong somebody
I'm sure it might be possible to edit the text of an ad that has already been placed.
I would recommend that the inmate send a letter of request directly to the webmasters. The address is on the home page.
Sounds like things are going well for you in light of your post I just wanted to wish you all the best![]()
Nooooo....LOL No love matches for the batwitch! Just wondering because somebody had posted that one of her pp's wanted her to try to cancel his membership, etc...
To change the text of an inmate ad, contact the webmasters. The email address (and mailing address) is on the home page. The cost of CHANGING an ad is $10.00
ALL deletions or modifications of inmate ads must be verified directly with the inmate.
Just to go into the system they charge ten dollars????? sorry thats ridiculous. To go into the system and change an ad is Nothing. I do it all the time on another website.
Then again, Dani, you have to realize that WAP is not a non-profit organization. They do not OWN their server. It is contracted. Whatever the contractor charges them to make changes, they must pass on to those desiring the change.
WAP receives numerous requests for changes on the inmate ads. It is not free to send the verification forms to the inmates, which must be done to assure the integrity of the request.
Furthermore, the ONLY income WAP receives is through the ads placed on the website, and the associated fees for those ads, changes, etc. WAP is heavily involved in many activities that benefit inmates, including LEGAL issues. These cost money.
The webmasters derive almost NO personal income from the website. They all have "regular jobs" to support themselves, and devote the majority of earnings from this site to continuing the FREE services of the site (including this forum), and to their ombudsman activities in the interest of those incarcerated.
If WAP were in a position to PAY a staff member to be present on a regular basis, I'm sure the cost would be either nominal or there would be no cost at all.
