I would like to know what kind of groups the inmates can join...if this any of my business? Thanks for any info or help

I am not certain if there are any specific religeous groups which inmates can join. I am however fairly certain that all the major religeons are represented within the system.

There are pastors/padre's who cover the christian faith, and I know that members of the Islamic faith are well represented in most states. Other faiths well I'm not so sure.

Many inmates follow the Budhist teachings, some are wiccan or pagan, really the whole gamut is covered a-z.

Whether or not this helps you I don't know, but I am not certain as to what your motivation is. The best way to establish the religious situation in any Prison is to check with each DOC state by state. This should give you a little more information and maybe what you are after.

Joy...Hi and Welcome, I do not know about the other states, but here in Kansas, inmates are encouraged and free to worship whatever religious beliefs they should have, no matter what their faith may be.

You didn't specify that you had a PP or relative incarcerated in Michigan, but I suspect that you may. Have you tried calling the chaplin at your PPs location. I'm sure that they would be glad to help.
