Okay..i've been thinking and I'm not sure what to do. I know it's mentioned to use a PO Box...but what if you cannot afford a PO Box and you really want to write to an inmate. Is it safe to give your address or should I stick with what's preferable the PO Box???? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Yes, I gave my address from the start..I really never heard of a PP hurting a WAP memeber ..maybe there is a case : /..and If there was an escape...and they came here..That would be the most excitment I have had in years!

I would say that if you cannot afford a PO Box, then just wait and save up and put some money aside until you can afford one. I think it's always best to have a PO Box. The extra precaution is always best.

Hi KayKay, Thanks for replying back to me. YOu see that's what I'm nervous about. All of the things that go throught my head, I want my PP to feel comfortable and not think I'm hidding anything but me giving my address and not a PO Box. I'm in Canada and I think that your absolutly rite about them not hurting us..we are here for them!

I use my home address, but even if someone found my mailbox, they'd have a hard time finding my house ... that and I have a large dog. He's dumb as dirt, but he looks intimidating.

I don't worry about it too much. Maybe I should, but I don't.

I worry more about some of the dates I have had...I look at it this way...For "ME" to get a PO box is something like I didn't trust them...If I don't trust them...Then why am I writing them???..If you do have a problem with a PP <intuition> ..You can take action then...

Thanks, kaykay...I'm starting to not feel so nervous...i'm really new at all of this...my friend who told me about this site uses her address and has no worries and she has kids like me..so maybe i'm just getting over my head! lol..i do that sometimes when i'm nervous!

When you do decide to write..why not pick a Non Violent crime PP to start. Just a suggestion.
