    Default Parole Date Chances

Hi, does anyone know the likelihood of prisoners being released on their parole dates? I'm pinning my hopes on April and would be devastated if his is put back. I'd be grateful for any advice. Thanks )

Not sure where your pp is but from what I have seen here in california they parole on their parole dates unless there has been some kind of diciplinary problem and they have days added due to a 115.

I have a family members that's been writing to a lifer in Texas. He came up for parole a few months ago and he's been there for 17, almost 18 years. He was approved and will be released in mid 2005.
I have heard of others there that are getting set-offs of 1-5 years. Meaning, they come back to the board within 1-5 years.
Hope this helps a litle. I know that Texas seems to be one of the hardest places to get parole, so I would say this is good news out of Texas.

Thanks for the advice, he has had disciplinary problems, been in the hole and also is now on the SHU and has been there for nearly a year now. Still, he's been punished enough surely? No he's not in Texas thankfully, he's in Pennsylvania. I think Texas is one of the strictest for sure. Your family member's friend must be unbelievably happy after all this time eh. That's good news, going to take a lot of readjusting. Mine's only been there for 7 years, I'm saying only as it's 10 years less than that guy but still a very long time. I think they must have sensory overload and it's a daunting thought having to build your life up again. Still, he has me so he's not alone !

Its going great..i met him after he went in. He had been down almost two years. i did the last 8 with him. Him comming home was a lot harder than i thought it would be. So much of the world has changed in the last 10 years.. He got to surf the web for the first time. I laughted so hard every time a pop up came up he jumped.
