MY honey in california has been trying to call me but for some reason the collect calls are not going through. i've called the phone company and i have enough money on my account to recieve them. I don't want him to think that i'm not taking his calls. Has any of this happened to you guys??!!

It has happened to me also, I called the phone company and they told me everything was fine on my end but yet I still can't get any collect calls from 2 of my pals. How do you know if you did *77 or something? Can you call the phone company ask them?

enter *77 then listen for message that tells you if its on or off. i can't remember what
number they tell you to do if you don't want to accept prepaid collect calls.i'm more apt to miss hitting the number 5 to accept as i want to bypass the usual speech. tina

I have had it happen too. It turned out there had been a block put on my number. No idea why there was, but thats what the problem was. Luckily my guy moved to another prison and the block was taken off.

This has happened to me too. For me ..it was because we had gone over the weekly limit in phone calls. we are allowed up to a certain value ... and we went over the amount allowed in a one week period. Neither one of us knew there even was a limit .. and it took nearly two weeks to figure out.

Hi - does anyone know if people in the UK can take collect calls from the US prisons?

this just happened to me recently, it turned out to be the phone my pal was calling from, it happened twice, he went to a different phone and call went thru with no problem

if the problem persist's .... it could be cause your not using the right phone company as well. Most times you have to use the company that the facility uses in order for it to work. Now ..keep in mind .. you can still sign up with any phone company ..and will tell you that there is no block on the phone ...and from the phone company ..there may not be a block ...but the block could be coming from the facility. This has happened to me also ...keep us posted if you can.
