Default What do you send besides letters?

Just curious if there were other things you sent your pals besides letters and pics of yourselves? And if so what? Jokes? Funny pics? Stories? Any particular place you find good things on the net?

I just started writing my pals, so I hope they aren't bored with me yet! But I'm just trying to get an idea of some cute little things I could add to their envelope to maybe give them a chuckle or a smile.

Now I have heard that anything I get off the net needs to have an email addy or url cut off before mailing it to them.

I may not be a good resource, Angela. I think that my PP has had to buy a shredder for all the junk I send her. :-)
I send her pictures of flowers from the spring newspaper ads, pictures of grills, porch swings and other outdoor equipment. Things that are fun to look at and dream about. I have also described some of my walks through my little town and sent photos of the landmarks that I have described. I sent a 48 page brochure (two pages at a time) advertising vacations by train, with lots of beautiful photos. I have also sent photos and articles from a "Welcome Magazine" for the county I live in. Also in that brochure was a simple little map, showing the surrounding communities that I may talk about in describing my travels. So, I think the possibilities are limitless. You just have to train yourself to keep an eye open for interesting things. I suspect that what interests you will interest your PP also, even some of the odd things. So, anyway, my PP has lots of confetti for the next basketball game. :-)
P.S. Someone once told about sending their grocery receipt, so I sent her mine. Hey? She said she liked it. ??

I mostly send funnies. I also send magazine and newspaper subscriptions after I know what is wanted. Other than that, I'm not too original :-P

My PP sent me a stuffed, crocheted Winnie the Pooh bear today. (One of the inmates made it). In with it, was a bag of peanut M & M s and a bag of Tootsie Roll lolipops. To top it off, he found a Mary Bear greeting card to put inside the box.

I didn't know they could send items out like that. I figured go through someone on the outside like family or friend but it actually came through the prison itself. Just goes to show you that you learn something new every day <grin>.
