No one can really say why things happen the way they do. Perhaps your father's rage did not carry over to you? Perhaps he loved you enough to not hurt you? Perhaps God protected you?

It is my opinion that we're all here for a purpose, though we may not know what that purpose is. So whatever the 'reason' behind your being here, rest assured that you have a purpose.

I am truly sorry for what you have had to endure, but try not to let it eat at you. You're a good person, and you can make a difference in so many lives, even without realizing it.

Yes, you have been hurt by your father's actions. And yes, it's hard to get past. But think of it this way: You're better than that, and if you let this eat at you it will destroy you. If you allow that, he wins. And you're not going to allow that to happen.

Thank you all, that happened when I was 20 month old, I'm 41 now, but how is it that a man can take his 10 month old child's life and not think of it???

I truly wish that I had the answer to that. For my own sanity I try not to figure out the reasons to the many cruel things that go on in the world.
