I have a pal in Texas who I have gotten close to and would like to visit him. He told me that in Texas that for non-family members there are only non-contact visits(behind plexi-glass). I think I read somewhere that sometimes there are exceptions to that rule. I would be traveling 11 hours one way to see him. Has anyone ever been able to have a contact visit with an inmate in Texas although you are non-family?

sorry stpete, don't know anything about Texas visitation. All I can say is NOTHING there surprises me.
