Hi Sincat1, I am the same way, I just write about what I like to do, the books I read, then I ask them questions about what books they like to read and movies, that way they start talking about what they like to do and you can go from there. Happy Writing and good luck with your pp. Darlene

Sometimes I just describe a day in my life..sometimes I tell funny stories about my past. Sometimes I describe the scenery around me. I talk about my kids and pets a lot and books I've read and what I cook. Sometimes I ask questions. Do you like this or that..how do you feel about this..have you ever been here...I'm probably not the most exciting person to write to but I'm trying lol. I think they appreciate hearing about most anything.

sincat1 Just write them like you would anyone else, ask how they are, what they like to listen to music wise, ask them what movies they have seen lately...where they are from, small talk basically.... Treat them like people, dont think of them being prisoners, almost all inmates will tell you, they just like to be treated like a "regular person".... I laughed when my Sweetie first told me that... I asked him what he considered irregular, because I myself might be that very thing! *chuckles* Happy writing!!!!

Yes, sometimes I also just write about what I've done in a typical day, the pandemomium of getting the little one off to school, driving and cursing in heavy traffic, do nothing meetings with idiot managers, the price of gas (ugh) etc. Boring & typical for us but a glimpse into the free world for them.

I write about places I've been, gardening , work, people I deal with well, people I don't deal with well, fun vacations, vacation hells, gambling, religion, pets, family, and this meassage board, etc, etc. If you decide to write someone, pick someone that wants what you have to offer. Good luck!....

Hi good question. I worried about that at first - thought I might be too boring etc (probably am!!lol). Anyway - I write about the things that have already been posted here. I write about my home town, trying to find a job, interviews, my pets, books, music, my thoughts about life religion etc. It will come to yuo when you sit down and start writing honest.

I agree with Gazea: I sit down to write and it just comes to me. I will start with one thing to say, and more come. I will sometimes write a letter over several sessions as new things come to me. (It helps that I write on a computer. I do this because my handwriting is messy, but it also helps with editing the letter and or writing over several sessions.)
