Exclamation TX EVACUATION & CANCELLED VISITS
Evacuations

The following TDCJ units have been evacuated:
  • Glossbrenner in San Diego, Texas
  • Stevenson in Cuero, Texas
  • Terrell Unit in Rosharon, Texas
  • Clemens Unit in Brazoria, Texas
  • Hospital Galveston Unit in Galveston, Texas
  • Carole S. Young Medical Facility in Texas City, Texas
  • Jefferson County Leased Bed Facility in Beaumont, Texas
Units in areas not affected by the hurricane are receiving offenders who have been evacuated from coastal units, and all TDCJ units are sending staff support to units in affected areas. There will be no visitation on the following units for the upcoming weekend (September 13th & 14th):

  • Central Unit in Sugar Land

If you have a loved on at one of the evacuated units... please call the number above to check the status.

I have letters to be mailed to a pal at one of the units and decided to wait until I can get more information on monday before sending it somewhere that it may never reach.

I will update as I obtain information.

Default CONTINUED EVACUATIONS (INDEFINITELY)
Evacuations

The following TDCJ Units will remain evacuated for an indefinite period of time:
  • Hospital Galveston in Galveston, Texas
  • Part of the Carole S. Young Medical Facility in Texas City, Texas
To find the location of an offender, you may call 936-437-6791, available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
