| Hi all, I'm new to the site. I live in Europe and would like to write to an inmate in Tx. I wanted to buy stamps for my pp from the US postal online service, but they don't ship abroad. To send a letter from the USA to a foreign country costs 94 cents. I don't want to burden my pp with this cost as it seems a bit expensive for them. Should I write to them and explain the situation, and offer postage costs. Or do they rely on stamped addressed envelopes? Can anyone please advise me further? |

| Just in case that link ever goes dead, TDCJ inmates are not permitted to receive stamps from the free-world, they have to purchase them from the unit commissary. The limit is 30 stamps per commissary visit, and 60 stamps can be held in total of any denomination by an individual inmate. Some units offer 94c stamps, but most do not. Anyone can deposit money into the inmate's trust fund, the easiest way is through Jpay. |
