I have a new pen pal in ad seg in the clements unit does anyone have any info on the rules for ad seg

They are housed in single cells... are caged 23/7

At visitation they visit through the glass and phone.

When taken out of their cells, they are cuffed.

They have no Television.

Seg mail rules are the same for population, they are just housed differently.

They can receive the same items through the mail, letters pictures, printouts.

You can order books and magazines for them. You will need to contact the unit before ordering a book to verify if they can or can not receive a hardback book. All purchases must be sent from the vendor, not you.

You can order paper supplies (White only), paper or envelopes nothing colored. This must come from a vendor.

You can add money to their account if you would like through jpay.

They can not make phone calls.

If they are always in trouble, they may not be able to have anything other than the bare necessities. It can vary based on classification.

i have written to him using yellow note pad paper he didn't say anything should i be using white? also he needs more pals if anyone's interested let me know and i'll point you in the right direction

You can write on whatever color paper and envelopes you choose.

if you ever order him supplies, they must be on white.
