anyone know anything about Pleasant Valley? Good or bad?? About mail or visiting or phone calls??

I used to visit someone there a while back and i don't think it was tha bad,I think it is pretty laid back the gaurds are nice. I think it is all an s and y prison. I never had any problems with the mail it was never delayed or anyhing. I got regular phone calls whenever he was able to get on the phone. Of course this was all before some prisons started keeping inmates in their cells like every other day. I used to stay at the motel 6 past the prison it used to be only $35 a night just a couple miles past it but there are plenty of restraunts around and even a theatre a little ways down. Thank you so much for your info... My friend just got transferred mid-may and its so far been good. Haven't been able to visit yet but will keep everything you've said in mind. Quick question though... what's an s and y prison?
