I didn't post for a while here in the forum. But I'm back ... with a problem.
One of my pps and I have become great friends. And I wanted to give him the possibility to call me. So I got a number in CA (most of you know how it works ), everything seemed to be perfect. But (you know there would be a BUT, didn't you? ) his calls are blocked. I don't know why. It has something to do with the fact that he's in jail because a friend of mine on the outside can call me.
I called my provider, they say everything is fine even with collect calls. So the problem has to be on his side of the line.
I'm just not used to such things and I feel like a complete dummy. I would really appreciate it, if someone could explain to me how I can make it work to talk with my pp in a way that even a technical idiot like me understands it.

Is the telephone provider GTL (Global Tel Link?) If it is you will need to pre pay them and then you will get the block lifted.
Let me know if you still need help with this..I have just had the same problem myself..but after 3 months I got it sorted and am getting calls to me here in the United Kingdom.

Okay, need help.

My pp asked when he hopefully was to a place where he could call out would I accept charges. After over a year of writing well I said yes.

So, I don't live in CA, will accept collect calls and it is on my primary number which is a cell.

Tell me what I'm up against please. I rarely answer my land line but if I have to I will.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what company are you with do you use ips or do u have a prepay account with gtl
