Does anyone have any information about things such as mail... how slow or fast it runs , how long do lockdowns last usually , any info would be appreciated about Corcoran State Prison alsoif there is a black stamp that says stete prison generated mail does that men my penpal is indigent because he has never said a word about needing anything other then my friendship and the paper he writes on looks like it was stapeled and had staple removed and I would like to at least send something to help him with writing supplies if possible and does anyone know if they can receive anything when they are in the hole ?

Hello how are you?My PP is in COR and I live in Mobile,AL it usually takes about 3 mail running days for me to get his letters.I do know that they have been on lockdown for quite a while and from what I hear it is not going to end anytime soon.If your PP is in the hole he can still recieve certain things from property certain days of the month.If they are on lockdown the cant get comisary.You can always put a stamped envelope in with your letter.Corcoran from my experiance will not send it back to you.Im really not sure about the black stamp.I do know if they are indigent they are allowed 2 stamps per week.Hope that helps
