I don't know if anyone else has suggested this, or if it's even possible, but I wish there was a way to write complaints about inmates on the ads, like if there was a problem with them demanding money, so that other people would be wary. I think that would prevent a lot of problems that people are having on here with prisoners who want to abuse the service.

Or, how about a way to report inmates who are violating their purpose in placing an ad when they don't check off seeking donations, but then demand them. I think it would be a good idea to at least have a quick way to report them and for them to lose their ability to have an ad up without receiving any kind of refund. Is that written in the rules when they sign up? If not, I really think it should be.

Again, it would prevent prisoners from trying to abuse the service provided by the site. I just feel so bad reading the stories of people who have had their emotions played with by inmates who are not looking for a pen pal on here, but a cash cow.

There is a way to report the ad or a problem with the inmate or ad at the bottom of each ad, it is a button that says 'Report'.

There are just as many people running scams on the inside as there are on the outside running similar hustles.

NOT ALL INMATES scam We as individuals writing need to keep in mind they are not all angels, and need to follow our own intuition when writing. If something seems fishy, it probably is.

In addition, most scams occur when one starts sending money from the beginning. This sets the expectation that it will be sent. I always suggest setting your own boundaries and sticking to them. This prevents the 'money' issues from coming up.

Only problem with what you are requesting M, is that it would be easy for trouble makers to stir the pot on the outside. Disgruntled family or even the inmates victim/s. Many people do NOT appreciate that inmates have the ability to seek ads of friendships.
