Forget about him find another. Why would you want to report him. If he hasnt hurt you physically or threatend you in any manner. If you like drama keep letting him get into your head. We are all grown adults, with the smarts to realize not every pen pal will be our soul mate.

Whilst much has been said about the experience of being “played” by those on the inside is no different to that on the outside, considerably less has been mentioned that there are resources on the outside to correct these behaviours. We have access to education and wisdom (and forums???) to inform us of our wrong-doings. The same cannot be said of the inmates. However, by rejecting his/her ad (and cheque) we are informing and teaching the inmate the standards we hold in our community.

No one asked you to be the “moral police”. Indeed, we entered the dragon’s den at our own risk. It was mentioned that by continuing to showcase an ad when you are armed with the knowledge that he has played these women infers that you are playing an active role in the emotional abuse of these women.

I record an incident several years ago when a soap opera was being played on this stage over an inmate (located in Miami) who was playing every pen friend who was game enough to write to him. His ad was banned from many sites but this.

Again, I understand that ads bring good revenue and I am grateful for the two extraordinary mateships I share with my pen friends, but surely, we must feel some obligation towards being socially responsible?

Best regards,

This has nothing to do with revenue, this is in no way playing a role in allowing the abuse of women. What about the men with hurt feelings?

We are not armed with knowledge of anything, and what we have is nothing,we cannot just take an inmates right to an ad off over nothing.

Did you read the recent blog? This is not a womens rights issue, or wronged, this is the human nature inside or out.

If you read the blog, you will read that he did not tell her it was over based on past relationships, experiences she has had. That he did indeed fall for the other woman.

That is human nature. Feelings are not like a light switch that you turn off and on at will. People change throughout relationships. It doesn't justify what he did, but it shows a much clearer picture.

You will further read that he did not want to hurt her, although in the end it was he did.

We have no proof, nothing that can be verified that he was abusing the terms of conditions of his ad. Even if he were, that would be addressed with him DIRECTLY and not blasted on an open forum, out of respect for all parties involved. We do not partake in public lynchings.

Again, it goes back to what I said in my previous post....

We are only hearing one side of the story, the inmate is not here to defend himself or his actions.

When you go to trial the court hears the prosecution's side and the defenses' side. The jury can not reach a verdict with only hearing the prosecution's side. It would be morally wrong for any of us to take sides when we do not know the whole story.

If we meet someone at a bar and this happens... do we take his/her picture back to that bar and ask the bouncers not to let him/her in because they fell for someone else? .... of course not...

Yes... it sucks that this could happen to a member of our forum.... and my heart goes out to her, but there is nothing wrong, at least legally or against the terms of conditions of his ad. What he did was morally wrong, he should have been honest and at least the wound would not hurt so bad.

I think this has been explained over and over again.

As the other mods said, wap can not do nothing with an ad, if nothing was done ILLEGALLY. Hurting someones feelings is not against the law. Yes, its morally wrong, which makes him not a nice person.

Having said this, We do appreicate those telling us of their experience with inmates, whether it is bad or good. Its always good for others to read both sides so some that may get involved with inmates can see it from all sides.
