Default I Loved You Enough

I Loved You Enough

Some day when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a parent, I will tell them:
I loved you enough to ask where you were going, with whom, and what time you would be home.
I loved you enough to insist that you save your money and buy a bike for yourself even though we could afford to buy one for you.
I loved you enough to be silent and let you discover that your new best friend was a creep.
I loved you enough to make you take a Milky Way back to the drugstore (with a bite out of it) and tell the clerk, "I stole this yesterday and want to pay for it."
I loved you enough to stand over you for two hours while you cleaned your room, a job that would have taken 15 minutes.
I loved you enough to let you see anger, disappointment and tears in my eyes. Children must learn that their parents aren't perfect.
I loved you enough to let you assume the responsibility for your actions even when the penalties were so harsh they almost broke my heart.
But most of all, I loved you enough to say NO when I knew you would hate me for it. Those were the most difficult battles of all. I'm glad I won them, because in the end you won, too.

Unfortunaly I have fallen in love with some one in Prison, Billy Crelia. We use to write letters to each other and I haven't head a thing from him anymore.

It's not nice to fall in love with a person who makes you think that he's in love with you and then never contacts you again.

Great Mo, and so true. After becoming a recovering alcoholic, I said thanks to my mom for just those things.
Romantic goddess-how did you write, how long has it been since a reply? there are many reasons people quit writing, including when they get freedom. Maybe time to try again and see what happens...

Haha! My mom made me take a Milky Way back to the store once! This is too funny, I'm so printing this out.

LOL Mattel. I once tried to steal condoms. Not a little box either which would have been the clever thing to do if you are going to steal something, but instead I chose the deluxe, humongous box and had my jacket draped over my shoulder with it up underneath. It was very silly and needless to say, I got caught and was never allowed back into that drugstore. heheh.

ROFL.

One time my friend and I tried to steal about $200 worth each of lingerie from a store. We basically stuffed our purses with it. They saw it on camera and brought us into a room where one of the guys started taking it out of our bags and he was sooooo nervous. Finally he called in a female staff member to examine the "merchandise." She was like
